Working Title: Art as a tool for expression in Times of Coronavirus
Organization: Diyar Theatre / Dar Alkalima University College of Arts and Culture in collaboration with artist Katie Archibald-Woodward of Life Illuminated.
Goal: The goal of the competition is to encourage Palestinian children nationally to share about their lives during home quarantines and lockdowns.
Duration: 2 months
Month 1: Announce art prize, create an online platform for submissions, receive all submissions.
Month 2: Organize and process all submission to Jury, make a decision, create an online exhibition for all art works to celebrate the creativity of our children.
Age Groups: (4-6) (7-10) (11-13)
Location: Palestine
Format: Paintings on Canvas/Paper – oil and water colors, pencil, crayons, video
Salaries for: Coordinator, Assistant, Design and Technical Support: $4,000/14,000 NIS
Prizes for each of the three age groups: First Winner $171/600 NIS, Second Winner $115/400 NIS for three age groups
